You'll be drowning in it before you know it if you just play the game normally.
The only true pay-to-win feature is double cash, which can't be activated in any competitive mode anyway, so you won't be getting unique medals even if you shell out the nineteen bucks it costs.
Once you played all of these your winrate for Impoppable will go drastically up.
That said, I don't think that someone does anything optimal, if they lose most of their games...
Hope that helps.
(PS: Apopolypse and Half-Cash can be harder than Chimps, so don't waste too much time on them when you try to get MM.)
The micro transactions are only off putting if you let them.
The only thing I've every bought was the Snowman Pat with Real Money. I just play the game and over the course of 18 months I know have all heros, all MK points, and over 600k Monkey Money so yeah there are lots of Micro transactions but you don't need to buy them at all to be top of the line competative.
It's not that I can't beat bosses. I've beaten elite ranked bosses, including in co-op with my friends who I had to teach to do it.
It's that it's 120 rounds of gruelling micro-intensive effort.
Why am I saying all this? Because it's easier if you don't play ranked and you still get some rewards. So, people can buy Double Cash which costs a good chunk of real-world money and that'll now make every single boss battle ever a lot less stressful because even if you start with an insta-monkey it's all about getting that early game cash to get a snowball rolling.
Yeah, I'm just frustrated that Double Cash exists at all, it feels like Boss Battles and Apopalypse are built around it (you get no round end bonus, so everything is 2x) and you can't take it easy without it. You'll see people on youtube making guides where they just assume people have Double Cash.
At the end of the day I just have to tell myself that it doesn't matter if other people have it easier, I wouldn't want the game to be easier, I just want bosses to be easier to play during my limited free time. The way Contested Territory does it is great because it's only 1/2 tiers.
but with btd6 its nowhere near as parasitic as it is in other games, NK isnt walling mountains of content and progression behind paywalls
but i do hope people will stand up againts microtransactions when they DO become more parasitic, i pray to god NK wont let it happen
But yes: bloons is mild about em...relative to some games i've heard of, at least.
And I experienced it right there. "wow, this thing is unusually hard for such an easy game, I want to see how other people did it" and you look it up and you see everyone else just used Double Cash. It makes you ask, "what am I doing here?"
The good part is that they're not very good at it.
If you want to like Microtransactions games, do download Duel Links and try build all the decks so you're not limited to just a few.
Trust me. Try that, and everything else will look good my comparison.
