For the love of god add snap tower placement please
I can't believe this actually has to be posted. What is the point of the current placement system for towers? Like do the developers actually consider pixel placement with a fu.cking mouse to be some form of intentionally designed challenge for the player? One comment on youtube actually suggested you get third party software to allow you to move your mouse cursor with your keyboard, so you can actually move by 1 pixel per keypress.

The other day I mistakenly upgraded the wrong tower, so I had to sell it, and then I spent 10 minutes trying to find the one fu.cking viable coordinate to replace it. Is this meant to be fun? Because it's not. What is the point of this other than a circlejerk of people that enjoy something completely impractical?

Here's my suggested fix. When placing a tower:

1. Display the edges of the actual area the monkey takes up (rather than its silhouette that doesn't really give you any useful information).

2. Display the edges of unavailable areas, i.e. baloon paths, water, objects

3. Add a keybind for the tower to snap to the nearest edge, so we can just glide them to the desired spot INSTEAD OF WAVING MY MOUSE AROUND FOR 5 MINUTES LIKE AN IDIOT SO I CAN PLACE THE TOWER EFFICIENTLY.

Please, for christ's sake, do something about this horrific system.

And no, I'm not suggesting a grid system. Grids are awful in their own right.

By the way, Mousekeys is built into Windows 10. Anyone using a third-party app for the same thing is being wasteful.

Pretty much the same, but I used AHK for most expert maps to get pixel perfect placements right for BB chimps.

Certain maps like sanctuary have a pixel perfect placement requirement for spike factories and other maps like ravines have a tight dart monkey placement.

So I just make a script like:
F1::Click 755, 929 ; Spike Factory

Just for sanctuary so I don't spend hours retrying the same map, just to get the pixel perfect placement right.

Agreed. It's more frustation then a "good/fun" system. And that can't be the intention... I hope.
Add it as an option at least.

They believe perfect placement is a skill it seems.

Yeah the current system is really stupid. Like when you sell a bucc for navarch and then spend 15 minutes trying to fit the stupid pirate ship in the boat pile.

Snap placement is a thing in most games like this, its really quite inept that we dont have it already, even some flash games did it.

Knowing how to place a tower to its fullest potential is a skill one should have for this game. Its apart of the strategy.

Knowing WHERE to place a tower (strategically) is a skill. Fiddling with your fuc.king mouse for 5 minutes so that you can fit an extra tower has nothing to do with skill. It's just impractical, bad design.

Then dont place towers too close together?
Stacking towers on top of eachother isnt really the best thing to do anyways.

Strategy.... Its kind of a thing.
We dont need perfect placement. People would start complaining how boring it is just to memorize where to place and where. Having the freedom of placement is rather helpful and not so boring placing towers in the same exact spot over and over. The game is supposed to be a challenge afterall...
There is a video on youtube that tells you how to get perfect placement. So its not like there isnt any kind of help out there for you..

Ok and?

Have you considered mobile users, you cant "fiddle with a mouse and fancy settings" to place towers perfectly on a phone screen.

This is a feature that should have been in the game since launch, not something people have to request.

Lmao wtf is this nonsense? Ah yes, I should place towers further away, so I can get fewer of them in my monkey village buff, or maybe I don't want all my poplusts reaching my avatar of wrath! I can also place fewer farms and buccaneers so I can earn less money! Very strategic !

You would still have freedom of placement with my proposition, it just wouldn't be a fu.cking headache to place it in the desired location.

thank you, finally someone said it.
this is literally what I've been wanting; an option to snap to nearest available space so you dont have to wiggle the dumb monkey around until it fits
