Maybe I gotta stop sending friend requests... maybe that spreads the disease.
UPDATE: This was a comment on the lack of spoiler tags and the previous title of the thread which has since been fixed. I even gave Spooky the "Poetry" award because Spooky finally fixed the title.
I expected a discussion of "How Hard/Easy." Not the answer.
Yea, this is trivial example, but I think so many people just jump onto YouTube and Wikis and the like, they have absolutely no idea how slow, and moreso, HOW INTERESTING and diverse the learning curve can be without any spoilers.
I remember I used to read and post, but somehow I don't remember catching much. Oh, yea... I did see "too many spoilers" because I often hated for events to tick away without know that answers, but at one advanced-challenge a day, it was still relatively slow curve. One walkthough of the hardest CHIMPS map and how many other maps can you finish with minor changes? (Including Inflation and Apocolypse on Easy and Medium maps. And maybe most Odysseys...)
The least obvious thing is that most people who watch other tend to get a sense of what the worst monkeys are and not use them. New players who don't see spoilers have to figure that out for themselves.
Again, not so much this map, but just in general. It's not that hard to do.
Maybe can talk Ninja Kiwi into adding a "Finish" button to finish without placing the monkeys in the first place. That would make it even easier to finish. (And think of
all the cool music and graphics YouTubers would add if the only other thing to look
at was the "finish" button.)
Seriously, I suspect it could take many months before downing a Boss.
I remember when the first Elite Boss came out. I think there were like 24-28 hours with nobody posting a solution. The someone posted a video with start and finish screen to see the final build and some stuff in between. By 36 or so, someone finally posted a full run, and the next thing you know, within an hour or two, dozens of people here finishing it and saying, "Yea. I just finished the video."
They've since mixed things up a bit with Paragons and probably harder high levels, but I really wish I didn't watch the spoiler. Probably is, I didn't expect to finish it before the event anyways and whether I should have predicted it or not, I just assumed that it would gone when it was gone, and that I wouldn't be able to finish it before then, so I might as well watch how instead of just letting the event go away unfinished.
Would have been nice to do Tier 2 or whatever, and try to work my way up.
First Boss, I think I tossed 5 Monkey Storms at the end. Pretty clueless, but since I can still remember playing that, it now kind-of of beats out all those hundreds of over runs that I can't remember.
If nothing else, they don't warm anyone, not that hard to use (do you need a walkthrough?) and set a good example for other people. I was on like day
300+ when I realized how most people deal with late-game MOABS because
I just didn't think about that tower much. I used to always use the same tower
for level 40 for the first 3-4 months, now I never use it. (I switched long after and long before getting double-cash respectively, so that wasn't a factor.)
getting double cash so that wasn't a factor.)
"How to easily do the advanced daily challenge, for today"
is not even close to meaning the same thing as
"How easy is the advanced daily challenge, for today"
Just putting this out there since neither of you appeared to catch that.
That aside, the Daily Challenge solo can be a lot harder on day 22 or 50 than the Advanced challenge on Day 500. And solutions for the daily challenges are somewhat pointless since people either have the monkeys unlocked and can finish them themselves, or might no be able to copy your example due locked towers.
But still, many players probably don't realize just how long it can take some people to get a sense of the typical types and mixs of towers are if you start from scratch without spoilers and without double cash.
