Funny how you think we understand what the hell is happening on your screen
As far as opening the dam, I've yet to see anyone but myself describe exactly how to do it(*)... but here you go: There are the two buttons on the dam. It is a take-off on the idea of nuclear subs/silos where, in theory, you need two people to turn keys at the same time. You need to click one to open the cover, and not click the button. Then you need to click the other without clicking the button. Then you need to click the first button before the cover closes, and then the 2nd button before it closes. To be honest, it happens too fast for me to do at all early in the game, but once I get enough clutter on the screen, it lags out enough that the covers slow down and I have time to make it work. After you do both buttons they way I described, and 3rd big button will open up... you can click that and it will offer to flood the valley for $5000 in-game cash.
* - Try are videos of people getting it to open after 2-20 tries, but I've never seen anyone explain how you have to get both covers (and not buttons) first, and then the buttons the way I did above (before I saw myself describe it just now.)
-much longer range. The range of the ice tower is pathetic. Giving it long range would ensure it won’t miss, help it be useful on tracks without curves, and make building a defense around an ice tower more important, since more bloons frozen means more darts/projectiles that can’t pop bloons.
-a secondary attack. I’ve always felt that the ice monkey should attack the way a dart monkey does, but throw snowballs (that freeze bloons) and then have an internal, smaller radius that freezes bloons that get close. Not only does having a short+long range attack increase attack speed, making the tower more viable, but it also provides upgrade paths that can strengthen its ranged attack or its “melee” close range attack.
6 aaaalllmost committed, but it chose to make the ranged icicle launcher Terri-bad, and it’s final upgrade not only costs too much, but the path removes the towers’ AoE attack.
-affect bloon health over time. Alchemist, mortar, and glue monkey operate off similar “support offense” roles, and there’s no reason ice monkey shouldn’t as well. In addition to slowing bloons it should be able to damage frozen bloons over time (as long as they’re truly frozen.)
It’s a bit too late to add these changes in 6 , as the ice monkey already has all its upgrades filled out, but I hope it is heavily retooled in 7 so it’s not so wasteful.
