Or fear for that matter. Pain is a big part of screaming, but considering the circumstances I'd say that Fear is another core component of what makes a person yell incoherently.
Pain is actually a very good sensation to give Androids because it helps train them to avoid dangerous situations, the exact same way reason it exists for us. If we're sending them to dangerous places we may want it muted and managable, but it should still be there to inform the droid.
And all of that is despite "rule of cool" and that even the robots screaming as you kill them makes you feel even more powerful.
Considering how many cues this game has seemingly taken from the Alien franchise, I am fully expecting them to be Androids in the same vein as the ones from that franchise.
If not though, I guess you're right xP
