RE3R Inferno without shop items: One hell of a ride
Yes, RE3R fails as a proper remake. It is a missed opportunity, CAPCOM could have created a masterpiece just adding a few more scenarios with human form Nemesis (more Raccoon city ones and Clocktower) and preserving RE2R gore system (still dont exactly know why they toned it down).

But playing this game in Inferno without shop items is one of the most intense gaming experience I have ever experienced. It is frustrating, but it pushes you to think strategies to preserve ammo and beat the different situations.

Specially if you quit and reload when dying to avoid adaptative difficulty making things easier.

The hospital siege part with maximum AD rank is really, really hard.

An experience not suited for everybody though, you have to be mentally prepared to this insane difficulty level.

How does this experience compare to doing other advanced difficulties in other RE games? I was a bit startled recently upon my first completion of RE3 to realize that ppl could freely use shop items like infinite weapons to obtain records on uncompleted difficulties.

Inferno and nightmare are almost the same, once you done nightmare no point in doing inferno at all.

And anyone who beats them with shop items/cheats is making that chalenge/dificulty pointless..

I think RE3R Inferno (no items) is the most difficult one.

The point is to beat a higher difficulty level. Inferno is quite more difficult than Nightmare. Enemies are faster, hit harder, and are more resilient. You get less ammo also.

It isn't pointless. The shop items allow you too adjust the difficulty in smaller steps.
Granted, using an infinity rocket launcher makes your life a lot more easier, even on inferno, but using a single damage/armor or healing coin wont make the same difficulty a walk in park.
Its all up to you, how hard or easy you wanna get through.

Nightmare is not even close to Inferno. Nightmare is set to 15% damage penalty, Inferno is at 30-50%. Enemies do only 200% damage on Nightmare, they do up to 500% on inferno. Nightmare introduces the new enemy locations, but that is it.

In New Game settings terms (no bonus weapons and stuff), Inferno is still a walk in the park compared to No Hope on RE6. It is maybe around the same as New Game Infernal on Revelations 1.

This is how you MUST play RE games, at the hardest difficulty (well, in every game). Also using shop items is cheating. I saw a lot of people uploading screenshots and videos doing Inferno runs with coins / infinite rocketlauncher. And the best of that is they feel proud of it. Sad. It's a shame that you still get Rank S even using them -.- Rushed RE with cheating items, that's is how i describe RE3R. Easy easy.... *yawn* Jeez, why are now companies making the games so easy? I guess they do it for the new generation of *ussy gamers haha. They want everything EASY. The games are made for this, for test the player how good is. For train your reflexes, speed, thinking (puzzle resolving) etc... Without challenges / difficulty, a game is nothing but an empty shell. Damn, i really want to go back in the past and play those challenging games again :(

Thanks for the reference points. Wasn't sure if it was a lot harder or something, else, why'd they give you ng+ weaponry at ng level lol

Yes, it's a shame... i think they nerfed it because of console optimization.

Pretty sure that's why they got rid of the gore system. Way more zombies on-screen in re3.

Only if you're solo cause No Hope coop is no problem.
Inferno with less saves and no checkpoints is much more unforgiving. Nothing on RE6 compares to Final Nemesis on Inferno.

Both nightmare and inferno are prime examples of artificial difficulty.
Though I guess we're still lucky we got them since without them the replayability would be near 0.

I enjoyed the no hope difficulty in RE6 more but that was also cheap at times.

Just wait for DLCs, man.
There'll probably be DLCs later this year, and it'll probably show us what clock tower would be.

Unfortunately, Im afraid that is not gonna happen. If only, we will get some kind of Mercs mode. Fingers crossed.
