Glaring plot holes and character inconsistencies
1.
Nikolai to Jill, after killing Murphy.
- He would have turned. Where's your sense of self preservation? Go back to the subway station.
Jill goes back to station.
Nikolai: - WHY IS SHE HERE?!

2. Nikolai's prime motivation is money and self preservation. Yet:
- he destroys the vaccine, which would have worth a fortune.
- he doesn't leave with chopper, since he had all the combat data he needed, but instead starts to gloat to Jill at the rooftop and gets beaten up.

3. Nemesis: the ultimate bio-weapon designed to kill STARS members:
- When he gets a hold of Jill he just throws her around
- When Jill is literally unconcious for half a day after being infected, he leaves her alone. She's literally just on the other site of the gate.
- When he gets a clear shot at Jill, he decides to kill Tyrell instead

The list goes on and on.
But I think you get the point.

It's possible Jill got to the roof immediately after Carlos's confrontation with Nicholai, so he may not have had time to leave.

His objective wasn't to sell the vaccine, but to destroy Umbrella for his employers. He didn't seem to care much at all about the vaccine other than that Jill wanted it.

Nemesis was probably programmed to pursue STARS members, but judging from its behavior, I'd say it had a bunch of restrictions programmed into it as well.

What you have to remember is the entire Raccoon City scenario was a huge experiment by Umbrella. They wanted data on what would happen if their bioweapons were ever released in an urban environment. They just didn't want the public to know that they were responsible for it.

Nemesis proved that it could use weapons, track a target, obey orders, eliminate any distractions in pursuing the target, accelerate confrontations with said target, and evolve its form in combat. It was one of the most successful, controllable B.O.W's Umbrella ever created. Shame it never got utilized after the Raccoon City incident.

1 - This is easy, Nicholai told Jill to go back to Subway but stay with the civilians, not interfering in UBCS' activities

2 - I see a point here;
I dont know maybe they ran out of creativity about how to fit Barry in the ending? Who knows?

3 - Well I think Nemesis is only being faithful to the original, since in the OG he preferred to shoot the helicopter with the rocket launcher instead of shooting Jill off guard (Clock Tower cutscene)

4 - What is a RE game without plot holes and inconsistencies?

True. Like in Re Remake. How come Tyrant was still able to take and dish out the same kind of punishment it did on the helipad in RE remaster when Brad throws down the rocket launcher? It's still able to run, hit hard and take more shots. Did it get shot by potato guns?

But I think you get the point.

1. Narratively he told Jill to go back to the Subway and get with the rest of the survivors. He instead sees her still working with the team proper when he returns to the subway. Not an inconsistency. Though Nikolai's delivery there was a bit obnoxious.

2. His prime motivation is finishing his mercenary duties (he's working in contract with another organization not umbrella or it might be one of the other umbrella branches (they don't like each other) Another thing to point out is we aren't sure if that was the actual tube in question. He could have switched it at some point. Hell we never see him die, technically he could have escaped possibly with Ada.

3. Nemesis is a bit of a sadist if you haven't already noticed. Its toying with Jill through out the game. And while JIll is unconcious so is Nemesis as seen by the fact that its body is laying there as well when Carlos shows up. Nemesis always kills those around Jill first because it likes toying with its prey.

I don't really think these are inconsistencies. However I'm almost positive there are actual inconsistencies in the game. Such as how was Nikolai collecting combat data? Was he just holding a camera during the fights jill has with nemesis? Is he remotely collecting data from nemesis's mechanical parts? Did top paid Umbrella scientists really walk through literal ♥♥♥♥ everyday to work in the sewer lab? How did Tyrell get to the stars office when it was literally blocked off?

Could say the same about OG RE3 with an even longer list. Get lost.

I remember RE 2 also had a huge plothole:

-Umbrella's elite commandos couldn't beat the weakest form of William Birkin. But a rookie cop and an untrained woman manage to beat his strongest forms without much problems.

Do not question RE3R plot.
I have one more inconsistency...

In RE1/RE lore... Brad was established as a huge coward, nicknamed "chickenheart".

In RE3make he's sacrificing himself holding a door (Brad basically pulls off Hodor here), so Jill can escape That's not the Brad I know, unless this remake is more of a reboot.
