You serious? Gravedigger was probably one of the most boring fights in the game. He pops out of one side in the arena you fight him in and you just run the other way and shoot at him. Honestly out of everything that was cut I'm not surprised that enemy was cut.
I can only assume that Capcom didn't like that boss fight since it was a filler type boss due to Nemesis being the only boss battle much and main monster antagonist in the original RE3. It could also be how they would fit that without the annoying burrowing it does and without relying on wasting ammo or lamp post to electrocute it to death
well then this was a perfect opertunity to improve it, but instead like so many other things (sub weapons, puzzles, entire areas, items, Mercenaries Mode) they just lazily cut it
idk what they were thinking with this, it doesn't even feel like the original anymore
Debatable, at the end it could give the game some extra length, and like maybe some more areas to goof around till it happens.
Realistically aside from the interior of the Clocktower I don't see an issue with what didn't return with the exception of some scares in RPD. Most notably that window Nemesis jumps through.
Regarding Gravedigger I don't imagine it would be very fun and fitting in this game. Prior you had fixed cameras but can you imagine just dealing with a worm using Over the shoulder. They'd either need to make it super obvious where the worm is coming out of the ground from or make it so he doesn't one hit kill you (Which is likely the route they'd want to go with Gravedigger since it's literally a giant worm with pincers.) so I feel like cutting it was probably safer honestly.
Regarding puzzles what did we really lose at the end of the day? None of the puzzles aside from the Water Puzzle were particularly interesting that didn't make a return. Maybe a bit memorable because of the locations they took place in but that's about it.
My main complaint with this game so far is I do wish Capcom gave us more interior areas to explore in the main city. All we really had that connected to multiple areas was that diner. Would have been nice to have 2-3 more buildings that intertwine with multiple areas.
This however I can agree with. A short but sweet scripted event would have been okay in my book.
Hunter Beta - it wasn't that important anyway so it deserves to be cut
Hunter Gamma - it wasn't that important anyway so it deserves to be cut
Drain Deimos - it wasn't that important anyway so it deserves to be cut
You know what Nemesis wasn't really important anyway. Jill is just trying to escape the city not fight a monster so Nemesis should be cut too.
Jill should just be fighting zombies.
My only other assumption is that they probably couldn't mocap it since a lot of the motions of RE monsters in these reimagined remakes are done by human motion since they can be done easily like that. As well as trying to create one since Dev 1 team that did the RE2 remake had the most difficult time creating and putting in the Giant Alligator. They managed but it was somewhat taxing in getting it to work
My only complaint is the lack of puzzles.
lol wow, I totally forgot about the giant alligator.. but they won't have some bio-weapon worm cuz "realism".
