Is there 2 playable characters?

RE3 has only one playable story, but the original featured player choices at key moments that would alter the course of the plot and increase replayability.

So you only play as jill? But theres a dudes outfit in preorder bonus?

There's a short section where you play as Carlos, but it's not a separate story. It's 95% Jill. Carlos is a major character with a lot of screen time, so extra costumes make sense for him as well, even if he's not playable most of the time.

Keep in mind everything I'm saying pertains to RE3 1999. I'm making the assumption this remake will follow suit, but it's not officially confirmed.

Yeh i doubt there going to change it significantly, it should be about the same if re2 is anything to go by.

There are high chance they will make it like RE2 remake as you can play Jill on a campaign and then there are Carlos campaign, but nothing confirmed regarding that yet.

I've got a feeling Carlos will have a much bigger role (like, you'll play as him more than once) but I'm not complaining. Capcom did manage to make him look badass to the point where I don't even want to use his DLC skin. It's gotta be the hair...gives me a Latino version of Oldboy vibes, which is awesome.

One thing I want to point. As far I remember in original game Carlos never visit police station. Not as playable character, not in cut scene, he never mentioned R.P.D. in any dialogue. Only thing that somehow connect him to R.P.D. was radio message that Jill heard on radio from him (as player we even didn't know that it was him since it was before their meeting) when she was in STARS office. And yet in reveal trailer we saw Carlos with another mercenary (Murphy) in R.P.D. yard saying :" STARS office should be in this direction ". So maybe we get new section to play as Carlos.

They said they're taking more liberties in RE3 than they did with RE2. I would expect decent change.
