What bothers me is that they ruined the face of one of the most iconic characters in the series, and not only that, but they also screwed up any sort of continuity by changing Jill's face since now she looks different from how she did in RE1 remake. Honestly, she just looks like an entirely new character. I can't believe they screwed up so badly after nailing Leon (I wasn't too fond of Claire tho).

That's what happens when models sign their contracts on a per game basis. However it's only natural that anyone will be hesitant if he/she is to be bounded by the unknown for years to come.

Most companies wouldn't have the resources to plan a solid decade long schedule like Disney did for the MCU. Even they had to make plenty of adjustments and renegotiation over the years to make sure the core crew stayed on-board.

It's bad if it leads to misleading information or outright confusion from the fanbase.
RE7 comes to mind when.. 'Chris' makes an appearance at the end but no-one knew who the hell he was supposed to be with 100% certainty because he looked like a completely different person.

At this point I just don't care anymore and have given up on Capcom retaining any sort of continuity ever since the RE: Revelations 2 Claire fiasco, and again in the RE2 reboot. No-one in the connected RE universe even has a canonical look anymore and it's just ridiculous.

I guess it surprises all the RE fans now that it turns out to be the movie franchise is having the best continuity in terms of the characters and plot despite branching off with its own lore. Who would've thought that the main crew are willing to stick around for so long in a B-grade series?

I think her in-game model looks really good in the screen shot, not so much on promo render and escape cut scene in the trailer, probably not finish yet just like they first RE2 trailer both Leon and Claire face looks really weird.

Yeah some nobody model confirmed she's the face model for a AAA game . Unless it comes from Capcom themselves it holds as much water as Lindsay Lohan saying GTA V modeled the blonde girl on the cover after her.

I like the new models, especially the new Claire. This matches Jill to me. She has a certain sharp contrast in her face and you are probably more hung on the uncanny valley aspect of it all.
