If will be playing this game with a controller anyway for some heretical ungodly reason, and if you do not care about framerate because, for example, you have the common 60-hertz monitor (like, lets admit, the vast majority of PC players), then it is totally a question of preference if you want to get trophies for your PS4 profile or achievements for your Steam profile.
its still unstable though, jumping from 45fps up and down. imagine if re 3 is slightly more demanding, which i expect it to be. then the base ps4 will struggle again maybe.

That was going to be my second question, if he ever replies back.
I am not sure how to do Spoiler Tagging, or Spoiler Black Bars
over the Text... So, I wrote the Message at the top so you know...

Anyone know? Is it the Rocket Launcher that was Unlocked in RE4's Ending, or whatever?
Or was that a different Resident Evil Game?
I was asking, because I wanted to know if it's still around in the Remake?
The PS3 / PC & PS4 Edition of RE4 Remake...
Is it still around? Or was it taken out of the Remake?
or am I thinking of the wrong Game?
base ps4 couldnt hold 60 fps and had frequent dips. ps4 pro had slight dips but overall maintained 60 fps most of the time.
look up digital foundry they did a good analysis of the re2 remake on console.
of course pc has uncpped fps and has higher resolution textures amongst other settings.
this helps mainly for cheesing the game with the knife. somehow the game has fps tied with damage. so having 120 fps or higher is like 6x more damage with knife than on 60 fps.
upon completion of the game you could get the infinite rocket launcher amongst other weapons for new game +.
We could assume they'll do the same for RE3R, which btw is going to be slighlty more intensive because of the bigger map, open areas and (it's safe to assume) seamless exploration with no loading screens.
