You refused to use the Steam workshop due to the console version which is indefinitely delayed and now we get a security breach like this in the official mod platform? I thought PDX would be taking care of this type of thing but I see I cannot trust this game to even be on my computer so I am done.
Don't worry, I made it out before the door hit me :)
That should have been your first step ....... WTF
Steam Workshop would of never had this problem since Steam scans all the mods that get uploaded. Valve won't allow something like this to happen.
Previous similar breaches on the CSL1 Steam Workshop were done by social-engineering people into downloading off-site content or otherwise circumventing the intended system.
Now all adversaries need to do is push an update on PDX Mods to infect thousands of machines. You clearly didn't thought this through.
Don't expect me to enter my credit card info into PDX Mods to purchase content there in the future - even if you were to magically and fully fix the game.
And don't tell me you are not testing waters with your free CDLC and giveaway galore.
Thank you for making the Internet a little less safe, PDX and CO.
No modding system is 100% safe. Ever.
