When will we get bikes, custom parks and other CS1 features?
Like custom airports, custom campuses, more pedestrianisation options and other stuff.

(I think there were rumours of custom parks being implemented at some point next year? Idk for sure though. That's a long way off, but better late than never I suppose).

It's madness they released CS2 when it has less features than CS1. Is there a roadmap that shows when CS2 will have all these CS1 features? Assuming there are even plans to bring these CS1 features into CS2.

you are aware of that cs1 started very bareboned and got new features with every dlc over years. did you really expect that a rushed release will start with all dlcs for the next 7-10 years included from start and for free? very smart person...

In 2025 maybe if we're lucky. They are still bug fixing the base game and making the base game work.

Parks maybe but bike lanes will be years away.

The game cannot handle the pathfinding for 300k so unlikely the constantly changing path calculations added by thousands of bikes and even more needless collisions would cripple it further. A sad fact.

bike lanes? that's a joke. they can't even make the bikes parking in their dedicated parking spots. it's full of cars.

Not if you compare base game to base game. People forget just how awful base game CS actually is. CS2 was never going to have what the DLC's introduced (although we did at least get trams). Bikes were added with the After Dark DLC.

Thankfully no. Roadmaps can be useful for some games, but when something isn't met or pushed back it just causes more hostility towards devs. Best to just add things when ready with no actual time line.
When City Planner Plays did a poll on what features need to be added, bikes/bike lanes was by far the winner. He passed all that to C/O, so I'm sure they are well aware of people wanting them.

Also I do otherwise agree. Lack of bikes/bike lanes is beyond disappointing. All my CS cities have more people biking than driving or even walking.

Ok, just consider that the pressure to release was such that they actually managed to shoot themselves in the foot when they hadn't even finished basic items like - Modding support. It's officially still in Beta, and they have tried to discourage us from using modding until they release the final version. The foot shoot is that many people don't understand what "still in beta" means, and thinks that it should be full steam ahead with mods.
It isn't, and until they finish ironing out the bugs with the modding tools, you're not going to see Mods that are consistently stable, and CO certainly isn't going to be pushing out mods for all the goodies that you are lusting after.
So, if you want lots ore fun mods, you need to be asking "When will the Modding Tools be ready for release as production tools", not, "Why can't we have bicycles, etc".
And what's the timeline for that? Nobody, with the possible exception of CO, knows the answer to that. My guess" Sometime between Nid-August, and the freeezing over of Hell, but if you want a more accurate estimate, you need to ask CO, not us poor fellow sufferers in these forums, because if anyone gives you a definitive answer, you can them them they're full of (sh)it !
