How to increase wind speed in game
Is there a Mod or way to increase the wind speed on a map. I find that most maps the wind speed is very unrealistic to the real world. Where I live the Wind turbine farms are always turning at a constant revolution , even on a day with mild wind speed. Your able to turn the blades pitch to harness the low or high wind speed.
As your not able to increase or decrease blade pitch, the only other is to increase wind speed on a map. I've tried to look in developer mode, but can not find any thing there that remotely looks like a wind speed factor. So if any one knows please enlighten. thanks

I'm not sure anyone knows yet. Start a new map with an unlimited budget and unlocked tiles, and have fun playing Mythbusters?

The only unrealistic thing about wind in the game is that it is not changing direction and not fluctuating very much.

I saw a youtube at release of the game months ago where the dude made tests, creating "wind tunnels" by raising and lowering the land to force pressure changes to see how the wind reacted (measuring the output of a wind turbines he placed in the gap).
Turns out, the wind reacted almost exactly like it would in real life according to models.

I'm wondering if they're running a second fluid sim for the air/wind^(1)? That would definitely explain the high CPU+GPU usage...

  1. it's not a liquid per se but the math is the same.
Having a Barometric Pressure Forecast and History,
Atmospheric pressure that influences the wind and other weather factors would be an excellent simulation to add to the game.
