Why don't my subway/train lines way points go through my subway/train yards?
Ever since the new patch all my train/subway lines disconnected since it doesn't allow me to set way points through train/subway yards

I have noticed that too, it is very buggy, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.
For me I noticed it suddenly started happening after one of my lines just spawned at the yard, went to a station, then returned to the yard and despawned, and then repeat the process.

I even rebuilt the whole fkn area but still did not want to let my lines go through.
Ended up building a side track bypassing it.

ONE of my lines still use the double track through the yard, but only in one direction and I can not force it by adding a waypoint in any way.

Also had tons of strange things going on at a train station, had to rebuild it for it to accept me using the platform closest to the main building.

Buggy AF...

Maybe I shouldn't build train/subway yards until it gets fixed

I run into that issue also. I just re-create the routes, but it is tedious and annoying due to the fact that a pathfinding fails for no apparent reason.

There is a lot going awry in this game right now.

Even from a 100% vanilla point of view "everything" is just a little bit borked since the hotfix.

I cant find anything that works as it did (or should) since the hotfix.

Its like the game is entering a stage of advanced dimensia of which there is no imminent cure.

Its like CO is acting on a death wish.

Yea, I guess that is the reality of the situation at this time. I am using some modifiers to assit in whatever can be rectified at this time, but it seems like the core microcode is borked right now. I also cannot get my freight terminals and sea port to export/import goods/postage for the life of me, yet they work just fine on the highways, which is counter-intuitive, to say the least. Even my international airport seems to work 2% of the time. This is on my own map that I created back in Cities Skylines I, then ported it to this game. My metro does work about 35% of the time, and my intracity rail works about 20% of the time. I am having the best luck with buses.

Probably not a good time to be experimenting with advanced calculations when the vanilla game is going into convulsions.

Even going back to simple basic saves is failing quickly right now let alone new builds.
Its time to hunker down and weather this out in a save haven like CS1.

Yea, good point. My only pet-peeve with Cities Skylines I was the user-agent limits were so low whereas this game has 2.1, or 4.2 billion agents as its limit. I kept tanking on Cities Skylines I due to creating such complex cities.

It is not that hard to relocate the train/subway yards. But it is annoying to do so.

I'm just going to relocate it so the train line doesn't have to go directly through it

Why should a trainline go through the yard anyway? I never sat in a train that directly went through the maintenance buildings or so.

Good point, seems normal to bypass the yard unless maintenance is needed.

Yes you have, probably every time you enter a big city station, you bypass right next to it and sometimes through it, you just don't know it.

Not like train service buildings in real life is a ploppable like in this game.

I got it to work. I just had to use 2 tracks down from the maintenance yard and make a separate connection to the maintenance yard. I also had to make sure the train lines were facing the same direction.

Yes, I bypass it.
But not go through. Maintenance does take some time. So any track used for maintenance (in and outside of a building) can not be used for traffic anymore. Therefore to use a train track for both, could only be happening if maintenance takes place at night and the trains do not operate on that line during those hours.

You ever worked in the rail service industry so you know what you talk about?

"Service track in and out of the building"..
And...
"could only be happening if maintenance takes place at night and the trains do not operate on that line during those hours"

Let's hope the service provider for you local trains does not listen to you and use the TRACKS TO TEST THE TRAINS AFTER SERVICE.
Or are you claiming there are some kind of "testing tracks" built ALL OVER THE WORLD where trains can "test" on?
LMAO

stfu.
