Train issues
anyone else notice the dam trains get stuck on the rails even if it is 2 train tracks ? I got train traffic so bad that the trains are not moving , think they would work on this to make the train system work better

If your train traffic is that bad, you have one of two things:

1. Your train line is blocked
2. You don't have enough tracks.

Oh i had tons of tracks , i was running a modded map and seems to only happen on that map not sure if that is it but never had this issue before even when i placed 8 tracks all connecting and running side by side seemed to do it , for some reason i had 30 ish passenger trains on the rails and i never even placed a passenger terminal so the other city i was connected to was sending them non stop . odd

I have same problem. Trains deadlock on tracks blocking each other. They need a timeout and respawn algorithm.

I was having issues with the Pdx mod that allowed invisible stations. It seemed to include a new double track that caused a weird detach between train sections, mainly on incline/decline. The track seems to be connected but the trains would shift laterally at the section. I had to make sure which double track I used and redraw sections of track until it went away.

Similarly, I was finding that as I was laying the track it was including a lot of switchbacks which seemed to cause the trains to switch between right and left side travel. This obviously caused the trains to queue. Again, the only solution seemed to be to redraw segments of track until it stopped.

I would show you a screen grab, but I don't know how :(

Ahhhh Thank you, I was getting irritated by this one. The mod maker need to highlight these tracks batter.

Glad to help. I was very frustrated until I just watched the simulation for a while to see if I could notice the issue. I think it was just dumb luck to figure out the solution though.
