Merging Freeways question
What is the best way to merge freeways? I often get people on one of the freeways just sitting there even if there isn't a car for a while.

I forgot about that. I could try that tomorrow.

I would make the decrease in lanes more gradual. It seems going from 4 to one all of a sudden create a chokepoint. I would have both highways go to two lanes before the merge into four lanes unless one highway has far more traffic than the other. In that case I would have one be three and one be two to merge into four.

I ended up fixing it this way below. I put the entrance on the left side. Further at the end of the bridge it splits into 2 highways going different directions as well, so had to figure out what might work best. 2nd screen is my city at 78k.

So much for that. Now I'm trying a roundabout. ;) Problem is they all cause traffic. On roundabouts, one side is usually waiting for the other as well.
