Hearses not picking up bodies?

Just got the update after months of not playing.
Opened up my city and there are lots of dead bodies.
Lots of hearses on the streets but they're driving right past the bodies.

Is this a known problem, or do I just need to be patient?

That's normal if just now exposed to ECO 2 with an old save. It will end but may take a few hours if city is big. Just wait it out.

Thanks, but turns out that's the least of my problems. Performance has dropped below playability.

I read it's the 'death wave'. I couldn't be bothered and started a new city. Going well so far. Sorry your performance has dropped. Hope you can sort it out.
