some building footprints are...
I'd love to know where the devs got the blueprints they based some of their buildings on.
And what they're basing their efficiency on.
Example: The welfare building is the size of two hospitals, but has half the coverage.
The WATERPARK! A tourist attraction, is the size of a large house. I plop this down in a city and lose it as soon as I zoom out a little. And apparently the Cims cant find it, either.
The train station is the size of a small mall. These are inter-city train stations, but what about intra-city stations? stations between neighbourhoods that don't take up a chunk of the neighbourhood?

Why cant the subways and even trams use the same buildings as the Train? Already finding space for these buildings is a pain. They start off massive, when they should start reasonable, and then become larger with modules.
Or, in the case of some of them, like the welfare arcology, should start and remain small.

They almost did nothing right in this game. The road tool is good, that’s about it.

They screwed the pooch at an epic level.

One thing that bothers me is The subway entrance footprint is HUGE. and its empty, just a big empty 6x4 concrete space that barely fits anywhere. One of the things I planned to do when (if) we get the mod tools is to remake that subway entrance. with a much smaller footprint, maybe 2x2. 1x1 would be more ideal (all it is is just stairs) but Im not sure if the existing model in the centre would be too big for a 1x1 space.

In a supposedly modern city builder, subway stations have single entrance.

RIP to the cims in the event of fire or flooding. LOL one entrance, they stand no chance.

It is just sad that perhaps the most interesting part of urban water management, namely stormwater management is not even in the game.

what get's me is that most of the things i miss in this game were in the first game - and if they simply added a move it and find it button this game wouldn't be so boring. the child and old age care building would solve 90% of early release zots - a simple ped X crossing mode as in the traffic lights mod fixes 90% of the early release bottlenecks - these are such simple fixes they did not include it can only mean to me that the code is way more phuckt - the fixes they did release were the equivalent of scotch tape - i am starting to think they are making a game few CS1 players want. welcome to the spidey verse.
