The first game has ALWAYS been £24.99 - even in early access. Why is this one SO much more? I fear they are turning into EA :/.. I'm definitely not pre-ordering and I'll be waiting for a cheap key elsewhere because that is just daylight robbery.

Literally have a job - I'm a full stack Web dev and infra engineer for Europe's biggest watch and jewellery retailer, for the millionth time. I earn plenty. Have you seen my game count ? -.-

This is how they sell you the overly expensive mattresses. They tell you that this 5000€ mattress only costs you less than 2€ per night for the next 10 years, so it must be cheap. Hey, a good sleep should be worth 2€ per night, right? And even better, if you calculate the price per minute of sleep it is basically for free. Okay, that doesn't change the fact that you would need to spend an insane 5000€ for a mattress ;)

To clarify: I am fine with the base game price of CS2, no matter if I play it for 50 or for 1000 hours.

I think it is worth it. They appear to have implemented quite a number of new features, and this has taken development time. I have high hopes for this game. I hope they do not let us down..
