Traffic Jam simulator 2?
Just asking, I hope they'll fix the traffic congestion seen in the 1st, like drivers could not use Waze and take the nice corniche or whatever to gain time.

Funny, we didn't see Traffic jams yet. Traffic is not in the game. I don't think we need to build public transport.

Traffic was way exaggerated in CS1. A lot of the traffic issues seen in CS1 will be solved by a longer day/night cycle in CS2. And then there are better pathfinding and AI. Should be a lot less congestion in CS2.

Traffic was actually quite non-existent, because they would despawn. And assuming there was traffic, it was due to bad (or non-existent) path finding where the AI would bunch into one lane, and ignore 90% of the roads in your city in favor of frankly, really awful routes.
It was far far too linear.

Traffic Manager President Edition is the only way to have a truly accurate traffic experience in CS:1. The only time traffic was an issue was due to 1. Death Waves (it took them a sequel to fix this!) and 2. Cargo, Ports & Industries needing an ungodly 50 vehicles, meaning you had to separate them out far.

Cities Skylines 2 looks to be the least challenging game of traffic in Cities Skylines yet.

So, you mean the AI for traffic in CS:2 is better now? Coz' some youtubers seem to say the functionnality might not be totally implemented, dunno.

That is the point that made me turn away from CS;1 f(with the full DLC packages), because of the pollution the traffic was creating in some urban areas whereas I created plenty of secondary path to get drivers to their places without losing 2 hours in traffic and creating massive pollution.

Well, I'll wait before purchasing 1st day, that's for sure, as I don't want a graphic overhaul of the game only but I wish with this new version, its core mecanics such as traffic not to be experience breaking at some point (large city).

the problem in the first game was mainly industrial traffic.

won't there be industrial zone in CS2? So, what, did they fix the trucks drivers?

I dont really think it as Traffic Jam SImulator II, but more like Cities Skylines : America SImulator since now we need to thinking more about parking but at the same time there is traffic out there, but spawn or despawn nowhere at least wont happen

Mhhhh, ok, I'll have to check the traffic twice next week! One in RL and one in that game lol.
I still don't have a clear answer about traffic management, if it'll be as trashed than the 1 or 'a bit' better, or totally solved.

You can check out their first dev videos or showcase videos where they talk about "Traffic AI" and "Managing Traffic" as part of Episode 2 of their showcases.

The unsolved traffic problem was the main reason why I stopped playing CS1. I look forward reading some reviews first before buying.

I saw the vid, mhhh, dunno, we don't see much of real time full 100% loaded roads, we just closely chase cars and vans. Mhhh, parking lot changes, accident changes, nice, no bikes though? Can't make a green city? Well, seems like an ol' 20th century's city builder but it'll be fine. Wait and see day one reviews about traffic then.
