What is the current status of managing assets in the game?
First, I just wanted to mention that I'm not complaining about anything. I just have a question.

Sometime back I decided to take a break from the game until assets were officially supported. And I recently decided to check out what's happening. Now I'm a little confused. I see there are considerably more assets available. But it looks like I need to use a mod to use them. So, are assets now officially supported or are they still in beta mode?

I don't mind using the mod if needed. I'm just curious what the overall status of assets is for the game.

There are developer asset packs out. The mechanic to add them to your game is the same one used by mods. The asset packs are the mods. So no, you dont need a mod to add them, technically. What is not available yet is the long promised asset editor function where all the creative modders can provide assets for us. A huge part of the CS experience.

Thank you for the reply. Right now, if I understand what's happening. This mod is required when using any of the asset mods.

What I was wondering. Will asset mods require this from now on? Or are the developers coming out with something that will be built into the game. Thus, replacing this mod. If it's the latter. I'm considering the idea of just waiting for them to release it in game before I start messing with asset mods.
