Still a mess
..after 2 years the game is still an absolute instable mess, crashes a lot even with Mods which are updated. Even when i play with a low Number of Mods it crashes... fu CO for being such an incompetent Dev Team

Agreed. Luckily the Vanilla game is alive and well. Better than ever.

I agree Mods are why we all bought the game to begin with. But, its a real blast to see how fast and smooth and big the game is now without mods or asset packs.
Someday mods will grow up.......I hope.

That is a symptom of a corrupt save in your save folder.
Not necessarily the one you are using so can be hard to locate.

I start by removing the entire folder from "C" and restart and restore a fresh save folder by a quicksave on a new map then put the last know good save (only) back in the folder and then work my way up until the crashes come back to find the bad one.

In both my accounts Vanilla and Modded I have had the same problem more than once, every time with no acceptation it has been a recent autosave that was bad so now I just delete them all. It can be tricky if you did a manual save after the corrupt save because it will be corrupt as well.

It started for me right after the last launcher update so that might give you an idea how far back to go.

Sorry i did not note the date of the last launcher update.

Thank you again, that worked great for some reason!

For some reason? The reason is the launcher update as i mentioned.
Great! I am happy you tried it. And more happy that you let others know it works.

Most of the fixes i post are made for each individual problem or error.
Even though at first glance it may look like me just cross posting the same junk.
