- geothermal plants need underground water deposits to function. But if they worked once, this shouldn't change.
- Each power connection (yellow line or blue high power line) has a certain capacity. If the demand is higher than what the power line can carry, some households stay without power. You can see how long the stripes are that crawl along your power connection in the power overlay. If the stripes have full lenght, the capacity of that line is used up.
To get more capacity, try to have power line connections to two different sides from the plant, so that power has two routes to go. Also directing power with the blue lines where it is needed, can help, if the yellow lines are overloaded. Also don't build all your power plants in the same area. If you distribute them, the grid has equal load everywhere.
