Cities Skyline II Mods
Hello. I can't make the mods work (or even load) "out of the box".

I have gone here: https://github.com/BepInEx/BepInEx/releases and I have downloaded BepInEx_win_x64_5.4.23.2.

When unzipping, it creates another BepInEx folder, thus the resulted folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities Skylines II\BepInEx\BepInEx (yes, yes, Steam installs under X86 !) So I have a duplicate BepInEx folder. I can fix that by moving things, if necessary, but the problem is that under it I have the folder "Core", and in that, only libraries (dlls and some xmls). No exe to be found. Okay, maybe the parent exe (Cities) will take care of this somehow. I don't know whether there even should be a BepInEx exe. Also, no Plugins folder. Do I have to create a plugins folder myself,m by hand ? Really ? This sounds like a programmer's job (I AM A PROGRAMMER, I know how to work on a computer, but really, this is a COMMERCIAL PRODUCT, I shouldn't need to download the source code of this BepInEx utility from GitHub and open it in VS to inspect and understand it).

I have paid money to click and run - I don't feel like reading code and then building my paid-for games...

So: How can I use this BepInEx utils, please ? I have found no helpful threads of discussion.

Thank you very much. Alex.

100% unsupported and yet you are asking for help here????

Why would you pay money for mods when you can get them for free.

Just one massive Clown reward for you.

You can't because no mod is using it since PDXMods was launched almost one year ago. Access PDXMods from inside the game or here: https://mods.paradoxplaza.com/games/cities_skylines_2?orderBy=desc&sortBy=best&time=month
Since you are completely avoiding the simple methodology of working within the Paradox Mods framework, there is no help to give. Use the Mods the way you are supposed to and you will be fine.
So you blame the game for not supporting something what isn't official and has been like that for almost a year now? You didn't bother reading any information about it and ITS NOT MY FAULT, I'M NOT A PROGRAMMER!!!

Hard life.

I am just wondering how someone finds this piece of code but does not see the ingame link to mods?

Is a mystery. Maybe they were a CS1 player and likes doing it the manual way.

It was much more stable when the only mods were via 3rd party.

The game has been an unstable binfire since the official mods function came out, whether you play with mods or not.

lol
I decided NOT to purchase. The terrible status of development and stability but...what was wrong with the way the CS1 mods/workshop operated? Having to install more crap just to be able to expand or fix seems like another organisation imposing closed shop logistics on a consumer base.

They want the game on console... and thus they need their own mods hub.
