PC recommendations & your feedback

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to get into Cities: Skylines II, but my current PC probably won’t handle it. I’m thinking of buying a new computer specifically for this game and would really appreciate your advice.

Could you recommend a budget-friendly PC build or pre-built setup that can run the game smoothly with decent settings? I’d also love to hear about your experiences with the game:
• Does it live up to your expectations?
• Are there any major bugs or performance issues I should know about?
• Do you think it’s worth buying at this stage?

There was 1656 reviews in the last 30 days. Not enough? There's a new thread every day asking these same questions and the answers are always the same. Some will tell you it's a great game, others (like me) will tell you it's a heavily bugged, incomplete, unoptimized game with simulation mechanics that don't make sense.

I wouldn't buy / build a new PC just for this game. It's in beta.

Spend absolutely every dime you can afford. Take out a second mortgage and raid the kids' college funds. Get a mainframe NASA system that requires you invest about $30,000 in an industrial power connection with a 440 volt power supply at 1,000 watts and an external AC unit that can cool an apartment building just for the computer, and get a 150" widescreen UHD OLED monitor too.
None of it will help. The 'game' will run exactly was well as it did for Linus on his 96-core system cooled to sub-zero... it will lock up and crash.
