It keeps crashing when i start the game

Something is wrong with it. hundreds of hours with no issue and now suddenly its crashing every time I play for a bit. Nothing changed on my end.. I dont play with mods even. so idk.

Same. Wanted to give the game another shot after a not playing for a few months to see how it's coming along and now I can't open it at all. Error message and immediately crashes. So I guess that's answered my question. What a farce.

Had the same before, verifying files didn't fix it.. i uninstalled and then installed again - took ages but started up without crashing.

However, a few hrs into the game it did crash again.. I could restart but noticed it resumed to the last manual save and i honestly didn't check if there was a more current auto save because soo much progress was lost and i was kinda turned off by all the crashing anyways.

No mods installed except for the official creator packs.

Same, every time I try, i click play it loads then immediately closes it. don't know whats wrong.

I have similar issues, worked fine but now that city has gone bigger up to a 100k citizens I've started to have sudden crashes. No error messages or anything just *poof* straight to desktop thought the culprit might be the MoveIt mod but apparently it's not the whole story also loading the game from 'resume' in the launcher is like playing a lottery, better to actually let the game load the assets and stuff first and then manually load the map.

If the game crash during the loading circle, just delete that folder: C:\Users\(Your user name here)\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II (if you cant find it, it is a mucked folder, in the options of the Windows-Explorer must activate show hidden folders), then restart the system and start the game. Good luck

PEOPLE, yesterday my game loaded after I did this:

So I didn't want to do with Skyve and deleting files, because i would definitely mess it up.

So I found from another game to do this:

Go to your library, PRESS RIGHT CLICK ON CS2
Select ‘Properties’ > Local Files > Select ‘Verify integrity of game files'

For me 3 files were corrupted, then they fix it. I did again.

Then turned on game and it worked, I could start playing, I did turn off wifi just because before.
My game crashed 5 mins in, but I started again, made autosaves every 5mins and played yesterday for like 3h no issues.

So at least for me zooming and panning around too fast causes the game to instantly crash, my computer is quite old though so it might be related to that but I can't say for sure since I had no issues before the city reached to a certain size.

It crashes constantly for me. Sometimes after an hour, sometimes 20 minutes. Now it seems every 5 minutes. It's unplayable. I disabled mods, verified files, no change.

A weird thing happened today that I tried another city I had with a 56k citizens instead of a 100k and it worked just fine with all the mods and a new city I made for testing also works just fine, it's just this one larger city that keeps crashing. I also tried the larger city without any mods and it still crashed almost instantly on zooming and panning.
