Vanilla Crash
Is there anyone else playing pure Vanilla without any mods and region packs experiencing random crashes to the desktop?
I have deleted all files and all mods. Both in the document folder and in the Steam folder. I have also deleted all subscriptions to mods so I am running pure Vanilla. I did a fresh install and verified the game files.
Still I experience random crashes all the time so it is not mods or region packs that are causing problems for me at least.

I forgot to mention that I have 1000 hours of playtime but the problems only started with the previous patch.

Did you delete everything mod related from your appdata folder?

Everything was deleted. But I'm more interested in whether other people's Vanilla games are crashing.

Yes, it crashes, all the time, vanilla or not.

The mods are being used as an excuse. If it crashes with the same frequency, with or without the mods, then it is the game that is broken.

try verifiying game files. That's the only thing that worked for me

I don't get crashes on vanilla other than 1 every 200 hours or so, when I keep the game paused for extended period of time and build a lot. Then it just quits to desktop. Outside of that specific condition, no crashes at all.

I've played 686 hours so far, just without mods.
I've never experienced a crash.

Okay! Is your graphics card Nvidia or Radeon?

Yes, my vanilla game has been doing the same thing since last week. I launch the game, see the icon on my taskbar, and then it goes away—no message, no warning, nothing. I uninstalled all my mods a few weeks ago when the crashing started. It's not the mods. It's the last patch.
