Does Deathwave ever end?
The death wave issue hit my city pretty late, weeks after many others were posting about it. How long did it last for others? I was at 420k pop when it began, has gone through three or four phases and is still going. I am down to 395k from this. My crematoriums are working overtime and it says I am processing more than I am getting, but just doesnt seem to stop. Any ideas when it will normalize for those who got through it?

Is it actual death wave on hearses not able to keep up?

If it is caused by the latest update, takes 20 in game years for it to stabilise.

What does the death graph show in statistics?

Not sure it has been several in game years since my death ways started and it has not slowed down not sure it ever will my numbers for population age has stabilized a bit and my death rate fluctuates 5.5k to 7.5k monthly with a population that is 680k. That is to hard to sustain I put down fields of crematoriums and still could not keep up. Finally I turned on magical hearse because it is a totally out of control number. If you go by something more reasonable it should be closer to 150 deaths per month per 100k so my city should be at just under 1k deaths per month not 5k to 7k.

Citizens live 120 game days, or years. Thus every day 1/120th of your population dies, on average. For 680k, this is 5.6k daily +- some demographic related variation and random deaths. So your 5.5 to 7.5k is pretty spot on.

This game is a simulation so you have to reduce the death rate to account for the accelerated time table vs actual time since 1 month is one in game years it is hard to simulate reality. 5 to 7k deaths per month in this game is ridiculous. Half the cars on the road are hearses and the amount of real estate that the death care services take up is so unbelievable at that rate they are like Starbucks one on every corner

I don't disagree, but that's the way it is. Lot of french crematoriums around the city keeping their few blocks clean works fine and reduces the hearse icons to minimum.
I just hit 392k, down from 425k. I have had 3 or 4 distinct waves. I too buckled and inserted the magic hearse mod twice to 'clean up' the madness. Uninstalled it and went for a bit and now I just lost another 10k plus and my crematoria are jammed again. Hoping it hits bottom soon. Would like to explore new China pack, but with death wave going, is not good time to expand.
I am now down to 373k pop. It seems to be slowing, but it just keeps coming back. I have magic hearse again, but just want it to be over. Havent been able to expand for over a week. I have even started leaving my city running to just pass time.
I've always heard that "The only things assured in life were death and taxes. In CS however, the answer to your question should be. YES, the death waves should level off to a steady rate of deaths over time. The reality is, It actually makes no damn difference. Citizens, population counts, and death rates, are totally non productive and non essential distractions. Just like commercial buildings. The simulation can and will quite successfully survive very well with out them.

At least that's the way it works in CS1 and the way it should work in CS2.
