Traffic Lights need a customization feature asap
I want to make everyone aware about the elephant in the room. Personally, I really enjoy this game so far, general criticism aside. Yet when it comes to traffic, one of the biggest issues remains with the Traffic Lights.

Issue:
The player can't customize the Traffic Lights in any way (except adding or removing them entirely from intersections), therefore there is one strict rule which is unchangeable and always applies, no matter the composition of the intersection. One example would be that cars which want to turn start at the same time with green, like the ones which drive straight, therefore cars which want to turn always need to wait until the opposing traffic is done. In more complex situations, this can lead to unnecessary traffic jams, which is rather frustrating. Now I need to rebuild entire road sections, instead of just being able to change the Traffic Light logic.

Potential fix:
Make a tool where we can choose an intersection with active Traffic Lights and let us change the sequence for each lane (with a mirror function, which lets you change the sequence of one entire side and automatically adjust it the same way for the opposing side; but you can also change the sequence of lanes individually). Applying the example from before, I can now create more sequences, which allows to seperate turning from straight cars and increase the general traffic flow. Adding time schedules could refine this even more, by allowing certain Traffic Light patterns to be adapted during e.g. rush hours (in Germany we have something called "green wave", which allows for longer and more consistent green Traffic Lights for ingoing or outgoing main traffic during rush hours, which could then be replicated in CSII).

Please let the devs know what you think, in order to get this topic on their priority list. Please keep in mind, that this topic is NOT about modding, we already had this in CSI and since CSII was announced I was hoping for the traffic lights to work better, yet I have been disappointed.

I find it more annoying that the turning cars turn green at the same time as the pedestrians, maybe it works in real life, here in the game it's a maximum waste of potential.
The CS2 base game should have come out with CS1 TM:PE mod functionality on day one. There is no excuse.
That being said, it was only fixed in CS1 by a mod. There are 2 mods that improve functionality right now. I understand wanting to play vanilla (I guess), but the answer is right there.

It's not an answer when you want to play with achievements on, like I do.
Get the mod that enables achievements. Sorry if this is not answer you're looking for.

Agree. It is really painful to manage the traffic. At least there were some mods in the Cities Skylines that solved the problem.
In this version we have some mods, but are not working perfectly and not as the same level as those we had in the I. Someone have other mods that works better?
Thanks

Traffic also needs to stop blocking intersections traffic will not wait till there is room in the lane and will block intersections when this happens at two intersections on the same road it creates a deadlock. I know on occasion people block intersections however in real life is is not the norm.
