Monitoring CPU/GPU Latency In-Game to Identify Performance Bottlenecks
I wanted to share an approach for monitoring CPU/GPU latency in-game to review mod and game performance and pinpoint possible bottlenecks. Many of you might already be aware of this, but I’ve found the in-game option `general/show-frames-and-frame-times` quite useful for analyzing the game's main thread performance without needing additional tools. So, this might come in handy!

For example, this feature has helped me identify mods that were causing slowdowns. Sometimes, the game might show a stable frame rate but still feel stuttery. One potential cause is a mod consuming excessive CPU resources. Additionally, this option allows you to check whether your graphics settings are too demanding for your hardware, leading to high latency.

A simple way to assess the impact of your installed mods is by comparing these performance metrics with and without an active playset.

How to Enable the Feature
To access the `show-frames-and-frame-times` option, you need to run the game with developer mode enabled:

Right-click the game in your library.
Go to Properties → Launch Options.
Add the flag: -developerMode
Once activated, you’ll find the show-frames-and-frame-times option in the game’s General settings.

Hope this helps—happy tweaking! 🚀
