Game crashes every 10 minutes or so.....
I've done everything, re-installing, verify files, played with no mods, played with limited/low demanding mods. And it ALWAYS crashes 10-15 minutes into game-play.

I even started playing a city. It was perfectly fine until i started getting low cost apartments (Dark Green buildings)

I just want to play this game, its amazingly beautiful but i can never make a city to compliment it due to crashing....

I had this issue with an i7 but a 5080. It started happening rarely and then progressed to where it would crash within minutes of bringup.

What I did:

1. update my BIOS
2. make sure my processor power usage was limited to the manufacturer standard. There is a bug with certain intel processors that allows them to run at "unlimited" power and CS2 essentially is a trigger of this bug. Mine happened to be one of them. I used 'Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.'

I don't know if you have to do both, but the issue frustrated me enough for months that these were the two most likely solutions after some time of searches. I somehow decided to give them a shot at the same time, so couldn't narrow down the solution between the two :steamfacepalm:

This fixed the crashing 99.9%. I hope it helps! Also, I love 117 <3

autosaves and randomness causes my crashing

Game crashes too frequently, making the game unplayable! It was more stable on launch, which says a lot!

Going back to Planet Coaster 2. At least Frontier is fixing their game.

I too think the autosave makes the game crash more often.
The game is litterally less stable than on launch, what a shame

thank you for the detailed response. i might give this a try but im not super knowledgeable about computers, only when it comes to building it, not the tech side lol...

I wish it did actually work 99% of the time for me.

I have tried this very simple adjustment (and the everything's) on every computer I play CS2 and it did not stop the crashing on any of them.

The problem lies in the game. Not your hardware.

It's no different than googling for Steam and downloading it. You got this, I believe :)

I started having the frequent crashes recently. I had a long play session where I left the game idling. Everything was fine for several hours with the simulation running (apparently, I didn't hit pause). Suddenly, after closing the program to do some other tasks and relaunching, it's crashing.

If I'm not looking at the new Southwest buildings, it seems fine, so I wonder if it's a bug with the latest pack.

I've been having these crashes for quite some time now, before they even added the modern pack, so its not the main problem sadly

I stopped playing months ago - seems to ave gotten worse by all accounts.
