How can you say its not getting frequent upadtes? Weve had at least one update a month ontop of the region packs
High school graduate means, ready to be in the real world. It is the perfect example of what a game should be on release. Ready for the game to be played, alpha is elementary, alpha/beta is middle school, high school would be the finishing touches.
Broken is running as it does, crap. And to tell me that I need to adjust settings is ridiculous argument, that has been a thing since DOS games. Except back then, games ran when they came out, they had mechanics that worked. They did not release in a state that is not finished. You say do not be gen z about it, your attitude of accepting crap games speaks more along the lines of not understanding the evolution and the downgrade in quality that has happened in the industry.
I check in to see if it has improved, maybe join a discussion, maybe not. And just because you hold yourself and carry yourself one way does not mean others should adhere to your preference's, entitled much are you? So if you really have nothing to support your current claims of it being good, you can take you condescending attitude elsewhere and leave those of us who want an actual discussion versus high horse passive aggressive insults. As of right now all your argument consists of is why is it not in a good state, but "trust me bro" it will get better.
Edit: Wanted to add, I would have rather waited an additional X amounts of years for it to be released than it to be released as it did.
Personally when I go to a bakery and I can see what I want, I order that, I don't order something that's not there, (oh, I see an empty basket there, I want that, I pay and then walk out?) WTF kind of analogy is that? I think a better analogy for you would be they gave you a bunch of code, and told you they will tell you how to put it together in a few months, then in a few months they will tell you how to install it? Yes? Can't compare virtual property with real property, they just work differently.
As an avid fan of the genre I would have gladly paid the $50 they are charging on CS2 for an expansion to CS1. Paradox/colossal can then take this additional capitol, invest into the product they are developing, and take more time to polish CS2 for a proper release in 2025.
One man's poison, another's candy.
Honestly, it's rather playable as long as you don't expect the whole Metropolitan East Coast to be a featured simulation, for that you likely asking for a high definition power point presentation slideshow in any game...other than civilization and it's counterpart(wait that's turn based, my bad)
Good luck with that.
Not working on a new game, since the release day of this one, would be
corporate Harakiri.
I've played 150+ hours.
I cannot trust the simulation is coded correctly (or the design is poor to begin with), and the devs are not admitting it needs improvements.
I gave it a negative review.
But the game can be played until something really bugs you.
