Car-free cities
Is there a mod that would allow us to create car-free cities? Or maybe the developers can make that a thing? I'm sure a lot of city builder players are fans of walkable cities.

One problem with that is that about the only way that new Cims arrive in your city is by taxi, so no cars, no Cims. Do you REALLY want that?

The cities we build in this game aren't exactly realistic, I see no problem with them arriving by moving truck.

No trucks for the industry and for the delivery to stores? Would be very unrealistic.

If you only do not want private cars near residential, try making an island for the residential and connect it with a pedestrian bridge to the area of industry and commercial. I would suppose that it might be functional

Only cars on that island would have to be ambulances, police, fire and trucks for waste

But they don't. The mechanics of the game, for whatever reason, appears to ONLY allow them to arrive by taxi. They don't / won't / can't use buses, or trains, or planes, just taxis.

I'm only suggesting that we have cities that prioritize other forms of transportation in this game. Being car-free does not mean eliminating all cars it means having the choice not to have a car. These cities are all over Europe including Finland. This game doesn't even have bikes last I checked. Give me bike lanes.

OK, if that's what you want, why not develop a ring road around your city, with adequate car parking for all your Cims, and provide buses, trams and subways for your city itself.
You might have to live with zero population (because of the taxi issue) but you'd certainly have a car free city. You never know, the code MIGHT be good enough to deliver Cims to the car parks on the ring roads, and the may just use your public transport to move in to the city.
Oh, you'll have to isolate your buses from the parking lot - you don't want to create a path that other vehicles can come down to get into the city, do you?
You'd still have service vehicles in your city, but that's all, and you are going to need a truck load of enormous car parks for the rest of the vehicles.
