Worth it yet or wait another year or two?
As of 12/24?

Thoughts?

178 hours of play. Love it.

No Mac version, so pointless for me. Not going to buy a windows computer just for this. Played CS1 for thousands of hours.

Nah, give it another year or two, maybe they'll get their main menu running at more then 5 FPS on a RTX 3060. Beyond that, this does nothing that you can't do with the first one and mods.
It's so much fun.

Yeah why wait? Play it!

If you do play it, I would advise you to build slowly, that way hitting the performance cap will take longer and your city will look better as you add details rather than buildings. if you take long enough there might even be the chance that an Editor will become available and you can add extra assets developed by the talented people in the community.

I keep coming back to see if it's worth it. Launch was awful, and things don't seem to have gotten better (mixed reviews overall and recent). I always decide that it's not worth it, and go back to the first game. Nothing I've seen today has convinced me to buy it... yet again.

Deep down there is a great game, but it is ruined by performance and stability issues. Incredibly frustrating.

what do you need more than 5fps for in the main menu?
It's a static page. The only moving objects are the loading meters during load. But really only during load.

Btw. I have an rtx 3060 as well..
it's only 5fps during heavy loading time. When idle, it's 91fps here.
