Saved Game crashing while lading

I was able to play and save my city on 9/23/2024 no problem. However, on 9/24/2024, the city will not load, but rather CS2 crashes when i try to load. Also, a strange error message regarding the mod "Anarchy" (Key binding conflict detected), which hasn't appeared until 9/24/2024, although I've been playing with Anarchy installed for months. Could this be related to why my game is crashing?

You'd better believe it! So. use PDX Mods or Skyve to remove anarchy, and try again.

I have the same issue and even without mod, it's still crashing

keep in mind, even if you have installed a mod months ago (it does not matter which one), there are regular updates, so barely any mod you have now is still the same version as it was when you installed it. A lot of changes could have been made since then.

There is a good chance that the game crashing on loading a savegame is releated to Anarchy v1.7.x. and it seems this important info from the latest changelog applies to your savefiles (because both were made AFTER anarchy got rolled back on 9/22/2024)

The rollback should prevent new issues from arising but previous exposure to v1.7.0 - v1.7.2 could still cause problems even after changing versions.

About the Key Bindings: That's a vanilla game problem, I would call it a bug.
On some kinds of crash (like the ones happening during loading a savegame) for some reason your settings get reset, this includes graphics settings AND keybindngs.
In my case it was my custom Move-It keybinding which got reset and caused a conflict everytime after my game crashed on load.

open Skyve, open game in Safe mode under utilities. open saved game.. close error message, fix all broken nodes under the electric tab, by ether replacing roads or upgrading road with light poles. save game.. open save again if error message doesn't show its fixed.. close game, open game normally, with latest version of Anarchy, we just have to live without quay wall upgrades for a while.... Mental we have to go through this really in 2024, :-(

my whole game was "reset" all graphics and audio settings etc reset, when i finally got in to my game thru safe mode it took me through the whole tutorial.... i tried the above but game still crashing on not safe mode.

So anarchy had an update and broke the game is that right?

As of a few days ago - mine freezes every minute for about 25 seconds, then unfreezes, then again freezes - I have a very updated system and great PC - this issue just started threeish days ago and game now unplayable. Have reinstalled six times, deleted all files and clean reinstalled via Dev's instructions - now the glitch will not go away.

which broken nodes do you mean for electricity? all my power etc is connected and nothing seems broken in safe mode.

but if i dont use safe mode it still crashes on load

I went back and loaded an earlier version of my city, and it played without crashing. I think it was an upgrade i did to a road with anarchy quay. went back to a save before that road upgrade and with the earlier version of anarchy and seems ok now
