No residential demand after uk update
Dont you test before releasing new updates?
There is no residential demand since the update. There is a lot of commercial demand and when zoning a lot of that it just demands it again and again and industry and offices. But unumployment is 0,7%.
What about prisons. There are no criminals.
FIX THE GAME.

Fixed my demand! Download the bye bye homeless mod (1.1.12f) and remove all homeless people in the options menu. After removing the homeless people after 1-2 minutes the bars started to fill up again.

Maybe that is my problem. I actually have not tried to zone us/eu homes since the update.
If that is so, it is embarrasing Colossal Order.
I don't think so (not solved yet). Just city layout and over-zoning as mentioned in my previous post causes lack of demand.

Below is a thriving city of 2.2 million with everything unlocked and plopped including equal doses of EU and NA. Note the demand bars.

Follow the instructions I posted earlier in thread and anyone can get to this size city with lots of demand.

Please check your city info tab and get rid of those red X's from ALL your residential zone types (by de-zoning). Your demand will come back, until you over-zone again. Wash-Rinse -Repeat.

Guaranteed if you look at it you will have RED X's in each residential type.
De-Zone till you see green and demand comes back. You obviously have too much EU Residential zoning which is why only NA grows for you.

To keep tabs on zoning levels is exactly why the City Info tab is there.

Not a bug, just a very well designed city mechanic.

This game is hard to get right, just like any real city, and when you do its a wonderful thing.

I see I have a lot of unoccupied Buildings in all Residential Categories. The problems seem to be more of the fact that Seniors are 46.2 % .The Crazy thing is Birth rate 183/Month Death rate 175/Month only . And with all the demand why is it no one ever moves in to the city . Moved in 37 per month moved out 76 per month . It used to be that you would get a lot of Moved in per month but for some reason this is not happening anymore . Its very frustrating the city itself has no complaints and no way to attract outside people moving in .

so uk residents is homeless or cant afford to build?
I dont live in the uk but is that too realistic?
Weird problem. But CO, if that is the problem then why dont you fix it? I have heard of this problem before. So why have you not fixed it yet and it happens random. For me it is only uk zoning for some weird reason!

The problem probably isn't even on the UK side. In my city, several buildings burned down and the residents turned homeless, I think the game can't get rid of them and they simply hang around the city looking for a home, but for some reason they can't do it and the demand for apartments drops to zero. Or the city's attractiveness drops because of the homelessness problem. With mod everything is back to normal and every zone works as it should.
2024-07-06 release date bye bye homeless, so the problem has been there for 4 months and occurs randomly, and CO still hasn't fixed it. However, the patch comes out once a month so let's not expect a quick fix.

The Unoccupied buildings go away even with UK as you can see in my screenshots.

It is just a matter of time and patience needed to balance your city.

Imagine if you lived in the UK and decided to build blocks of ugly american homes? How long would it take you to sell them?

Same happened to me when i started plopping UK homes in my already well established big NA city. You just need to be careful where you place them and start out slow and let them grow.

Its not a bug, just a different way to play to be successful is all.

Treat the game right and it pays back to those who do.

Yeah right. Like the sims care about what type of zoning it is LOL

It is a bug and probably the homeless bug that have been there for months.

Clearly they do as you have proven.

Have you started a city with UK in mind from the beginning? I think you might want to try it before you claim a solution.

UK mixed housing is broken and starts to accumulate homeless people. Seems that these houses above shops can't be accessed but the citizens still get assigned to them. This results to homelessness and empty housing units at the same time.

Just tested on a brand new city, no mods.

I had the uk mixed housing too so yes a bug

It worked for a while with uk zoning but then dropped again. Maybe I need to get rid of homeless again. I have not checked since.

Actually I just uninstall uk pack. Not that nice anyway. French much nicer, with notredame and buildings and I am not from France.

Bye Bye Homeless does not fix the problem alone. It works a bit but then the problem comes back later and I could not fix it until I disabled the uk pack.

I never used any infinity demand mod because it is not updated.

So bye bye uk pack. I just uninstall it then. But there are other problems in the game that needs to be solved before you sell dlc. Shame on you CO and Paradox.

You blame CO and PDX for a bug in mixed UK housing that was created by community creator?

Easy fix is not to zone UK mixed housing for now, until creator gets it fixed.
