Asian Cities
All I wanted and hoped for in Cities Skylines II was to make Japanese, Chinese, and Korean-style cities. I had hoped that the mod community would deliver, as they had with the first Cities Skylines. So I was naturally shocked when I got the game and there was no Workshop on Steam for people. I was more shocked to see that there are so many bugs, and hardly a mention of Asian flavored buildings other than a little promise.

The thing that made Cities Skylines great was the modding community, and the creators have robbed us of that for some reason or another. Can't they just let people make mods and craft buildings?

As the asset editor is missing, we do not have any buildings now (and that does not depend on the platform the mods are stored).

But in December the Japan region pack is going to come. And a region pack for China is also on its way.

Good luck. No asset editor and CO insists on releasing nothing but european asset packs. Maybe give it a year until the hard working chinese asset creators have a chance to show something. Their buildings (especially supermodern and hypertalls) are freaking great.

There is nothing in the game yet that allows you to create anything that looks remotely like an East Asian city, unfortunately.

Assets are definitely needed, and not just city buildings - train stations, road infrastructure, etc.

Chinese, and Japanese region packs are in production - in fact, Japan might be the next release.

Asian asset packs are being released next. Japan's pack is coming on Dec 9.

I think those assets should release as an update, this game is gonna flop hard if they think people is gonna pay for some new theme to a game that is way behind the original Cities skylines base game with mods. I have only the base cities skylines 1 plus after dark and I can do more in that game than on CS2 with assetpacks and some basic mods. the only mod that is groundbreaking on 2 that I like a lot that doesn't have on 1 is the road maker mod.

Fewer users, fewer mods. People aren't going to develop mods for games that they don't play because the foundation broken.
