I believe they've implemented a workaround for these packs
WTF?
They are just put on the mods lists, that is all.
They are DLC. Not DLC proper, but more asset packs.
>things downloaded from the mods platform for the first game didn't mandate you get the entire set at once<
You cannot break up a asset pack, unless when Editors arrive and with asset listings a creator can chose to place them as individual assets.
So,
Mods are not item building assets.
Assets can be called DLC, but not DLC in the CS sense.
If you feel these free combo pack of assets (not really DLC pay modules), listed in PDX Mods at the time (are not mods), are not to your selection preferences (and in relation to gb space) and should all be broken up as individual asset downloads (like free Workshop) there have been many upset mentions of the new PDX Mod/DLC/packs/and asset listings to come formats. Not to mention the entire, non Steam, PDX site concept to begin with. Maybe the whole PDX site format bothers you more than the individual asset issue itself.
They will not be. Told as much by one of the creators.
But that's not the same thing you claimed and I corrected you.
Sure, if you want only one building from the pack or so, then you do have a problem.
That is just not true.
Sure there are many single assets on the workshop. But there are also packs with multiple buildings in one pack, no way to use only one out of those.
