and what in the hell would even be the point to playing co-op in CS2?
I still don't see the point in doing this at all.
In the future: Maybe. I'm talking about years....
At the moment: no.
As far as I can imagine, there are theoretically 2 ways for a coop game play, and both had already been used in CS1. No idea why everyone else here claims it is impossible, because in CS1 it was/is still possible.
So theoretically it should be possible in CS2 as well.
1) People share their savefile. Player A starts the city. Saves the game, Gives this savefile to player B. Player B continues playing on that city. Saves the game. Gives the savefile back to Player A. Player A continues playing.....
That's what some youtubers did with the "5 players one city" videos.
The disadvantage:
They cannot play at the same time, so it's not really a remote play together coop game.
2) Someone might create a mod similar this CS1-mod.

Since a multiplayer mod was technically possible for CS1 we can assume, technically it should be possible for CS2 as well. We need "only" someone who tries to create such a mod.
wouldnt you like to know banned boy
