Also having a Steam Workshop won't help those who bought the game from EGS, GOG or MS PC Game Pass.
The first red flag should have been the Steam Deck with similar hardware was flat out rejected from day 1.
As for Microsoft Flight Simulator, MS's budget is Basically Yes next to CO's budget.

The mythical - but once referred-to by the CEO - having to start all over from scratch scenario. Which is why the game is only half-developed and was released so unfinished.
What if that stop and start over was all about getting the console version compatabiliy (cash cow) started. It wasn't part of the original plan or concept or versions, so they started over from scratch to build in console compliance.
And now, dropping consoles, sort of negates the entire stop-and-start-over delay that resulted in the game being released half-baked?
Just a half-baked theory.
