I had been waiting before the patch for it to fix some of the issues, and I've been mostly satisfied so far, though my current city is having an issue with residential demand and weird population changes causing homes to sit empty, which keeps suppressing residential demand. I don't know if this is an issue with the game or I'm doing something wrong, but hopefully is resolves itself.
It's tossup for whether I recommend it to you or not. Performance is playable, but some might still be bothered by it. That's the biggest thing that could still be seen as a "glaring" issue by some people, though I think it's good enough to get a pass.
Another thing that bothers me a bit is the lack of asset variety, and some of the assets don't look very good. The low density European assets in particular are very strange and ugly-looking because one of them is a weird zig-zag shape and because of the aforementioned lack of variety it shows up everywhere, often filling entire neighbourhoods which ends up looking very strange.
This is most likely caused by the homeless-bug which will be fixed, CO has named it as a top priority when they come back from holidays. Meanwhile, there is a mod to temporarily fix it.
Game has improved substantially and even performance is good now. This of course depends on your hardware, but for me a 300k city runs as smoothly as 3k city.
Especially after getting rid of the homeless and their path finding load.
I stopped playing after i found a bug on cargo train.
At start cargo train work normally and load products normally on export and import, but never to full load of the train and this seemed strange.
But the worse come later, both for import and export all cargo train started to export and import only 25t of cereal, so every train carried at max 50t when they can load 1200.
Tried to deleted everything, train deposit, cargo train deposit even the entire tracks have redone everything and the cargo train restared to load products, but even this time not to max, around 800/900t.
I checked after some times and restarted to carrying only 25t/50t, tried again to reconstruct everything and same problems.
Luckily i played it on pc gamepass, so i not even need to try refund, add to this some random crash when manual saving, no problem with autosave every 2minutes.
Hey Dyd&Mariana, why you encourage always online in singleplayer games?
Singleplayer games are meant to be modded played how you want because you are not ruining experience of other players. So why you think in Hitman IOI forcing internet connection to players is good? What if you have poor internet and can't enjoy 80% of game because developers block content from you
I bought Hitman 2016 but with internet issues escalations sucks
And don't tell me it help to protect game from piracy as in Hitman 3 there is litteraly cracked "fake" server so you can have 100% acces to all online funcions without conecting to IOI and progress normally (nothing is unlocked at start so fun is not ruined)
Now ther is a way for players with bad internet to play Hitman 1 2 3 without internet at all, and even without paying... IOI made some players to do it...
If only it was more convenient to buy and play like other games...
