Now for getting hotels to spawn, I build a cemetery and surround it with mausoleums that boost the attractiveness value of the city and the area around it by a ton. Wait maybe a day or 2 for the attractiveness levels to build up, then I zone in the commercial, after dropping lodging taxes to -10%. I've always had at least a couple of hotels spawn in that way.
It get so SMOOTH like 75% of traffic is gone, Parking demand down by like more than half, demands are great. And somehow I dont see any negative effect in happiness :P
Still didnt manage to get a hotel yet myself.
But for some reason, I have no hotels, and lodging is stuck at zero.
I wish the devs stop bragging about economy 2.0, whatever guys your game is still broken.
And from the tourism page I can find that there are about 25k tourists every month, but my public transportation system transpots 0 tourst every week, no matter it is bus, taxi or streetcar.
I think that's why I can't build hotel, because there is no tourist in fact.
