Demand Problem
After Econ 2.0, after death wave and the building level increase and all, I had a gradual decline of residential demand fall out. In the end, the entire demand for all 3 residences turned to 0% and is still not increasing for game time 2 months so far.

All public services are on good terms including postal & public transport, I tried zoning without demand etc, but nothing is working. Now the population is on decline from higher death rates for god knows what reason.

Anyone else having similar issues?

PS : I don't use mods.

Yes. Homeless people are stuck in your city. Delete all the parks and attractions and see them leave. The moment you delete last building of this type will see your res demand re-appear too.
Mine was too. After at least a year in game time it slowly crept back to nearly normalish. Low is still very low, almost zero, but there is a sliver there. Med and dense residential are both pretty normal again. I didn't do anything about it, haven't even zoned anything new, it just worked out after about a year or so. I still have a lot of offices at 5 employees though, so unemployment is still whack, but many obviously got jobs in industry as now there is almost no 'No Workers" zots on industries.

Also odd: I didn't make a single new zone, but my population went from stable at 350K or so to nearly 500K and still growing Again, didn't zone a single cell residential or com or ind or off or anything, and despite unemployment being rampant people are moving in left and right. Somewhere. No new houses or apartment buildings, they are just all filling up now instead of so many vacancies.

what the...WHY this actually worked?? I had an unstoppable decline from 45K to 35K with 0 demand at -10% tax, after deleting all parts it shot up to 100% with 12% tax...

Same here. I gave it even 3 game time months, but money burns away to services, unemployment is at 55% and there is no demand for no zone.

So I gave up and started a new city, as I do after every big patch. But it doesn't help. There is almost no demand, so there are no jobs and if I build public services, it creates a few jobs, but I run out of money, because upkeep is too expensive. Did I become too stupid to play it after 400 hours ingame or is it just broken (again)?

It's broken. Deleting all parks, offices, industry and commercial helper me. I did wait few months untill everything had rebuild. After that I had demands od everything, population boomed, started earning money. But problem with "wrecked" households is stillba thing.

Okay, thanks, I'm gonna try it. But as I said, I have the same problem with a brand new city. I can't even build parks at about 1000 pop. And I have about 20 commercial buildings, which at least makes it easy to delete them...

I had a problem with a new city (started pos-economy2.0). Deleting all parks helped, didnt delete anything else though, like...parking lots or offices or industry remained

Same problem...new vanilla city w/ Econ 2.0. Built a bustling, happy population over 100k and then suddenly demand stopped, death and disease waves happened, ambulances and hearses were summoned. Population fell to 78k and was trending downward. Luckily, I found this thread! Rather than deleting the parks, I deactivated every single one, and waited. Stepped up the speed a bit. Waited a little more. Finally, demand started showing up again and the population is now recovering swiftly.
UPDATE: disabling the parks is a short-term solution. Population recovered to about 90k, then began to fall again rapidly to 80k. Ultimately, I had to delete the parks.

Use the mod "bye bye homeless" as it fixes these issues until we can get an official patch from CO sometime this Fall.

I can click cims in the game, and they are labeled as homeless, even inside of buildings.
I dealth with the death wave, but now all cims are extremely sick, and that is when I noticed a lot of them are also homeless INSIDE THE RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS!
The interesting part is in the overview, I have less than 1% homeless...

And after dealing with that "sick wave", my demand for residential dropped to 0.
I assumed a lot of ppl died, so apartments became free to rent.
And after a while, (I assume as those apartments became filled) the demand slowly creeped back up to normal levels.
