37% unemployment, yet no demand for Industrial, Commercial, Office. ??????
Seriously? I'm not even playing with mods, and this game is broken. Residential demand stays maxed out, so it's all I've been building. There's hardly any commercial zones in this 14k city... almost 40% of the pops don't even have a job, but there's no demand for building new workplaces. >:(

Might want to get them better educated then. Also ensure good public transport connects residential areas to new commercial and industrial zones. This makes it easier for citizens to access the new jobs.

I learned real quick that taxes play a major role in eco 2.0. Too high tax and you'll get 0 demand.

did you check how much are employed in your office building? There is since the update a game breaking bug that causes office building to lay off their employees till they have only 5.

Taxes are at 10% across the board.

There are only about 4 office places in the city, each only have about 11 people working in them.

There's no new commercial zones or new industrial zones. There's no demand. I zone the tiles, but nothing builds on them...because there's no demand.

This is probably the cause then... I have found that anything over 9 tends to strangle the demand. They will still build new ones at higher levels if you leave the city untouched long enough, but if you are trying to encourage growth/expansion try dropping the tax down to 7 or 8.

I get this, i solved it by setting industry and commerce tax 2% lower than residential (so 10% for houses 8% for the others), you still get stupid levels of unemployment if you zone to much housing, but you will always have alot of demand for job buildings like this.

You seem to think demand means "how much the city wants x". It isn't, it's "how much x wants to move to your city". Give them reasons to want to relocate, better services and an educated population, and/or drop taxes.
You can check whether or not there are available workplaces.
It's most likely thousands of workers from outside connections taking all the jobs, just like in my city.
It's unrealistic, and I hope the devs notice it and fix it asap

my 500k city is very happy with 59% unemployment. IRL these are numbers that start revolutions and coups. now, that would be a cool DLC.
