Overall the feedback on the latest update sound positive so I'd be interested as well in whether it's worth playing yet. I did not buy it yet but seems like a good few issues were addressed and mods can be used now. If bicycles would be there already I would probably buy it at this stage.
Nonsense. Game is in much better place than it has ever been and it's definitely worth giving it a go. Performance is better, economy is better, more challenge...
And? What's the issue? I've started a city from a scratch and placed lot of parking. Then what?
Fresh reinstall, played it vanilla, it kept crashing.
I added to FPS mod, set it to 30, still the same result.
4090
i9 Processor
32G RAM
I fly FS2020 and other sims in VR, no problem. But CS2 on desktop, crashes after 10 mins.
I could keep time by it.
I noticed that when i used the auto-save and set it to 10 minutes, the game would freeze up, and then crash.
I tried it again only i set it to 5 minutes, same thing happened after 5 minutes.
So at least for some people this could be the issue for the game crashing.
I also sent a ticket reporting this, so at least it can be looked into. Not holding my breath.
Mine is working just fine. I am using a gaming laptop with an i7, 4060 and 32 gigs of RAM.
I've not had to touch any of the default settings, and use Skyve as my guide as to which mods I use. The only crashes that I've had were following the loading of new Mods, before the community had tested them for us. I don't load new mods any more, and haven't had a crash for many days now (other than easily explainable bad Mod crashes).
Mods here are apparently much more fragile than the fare over at flightsim.to, and that's for sure!
I find it fun because it's hilariously badly coded. If you can laugh at cars doing a 90-degree turn to exit on a ramp they are already past, blocking all lanes of traffic and creating a backup miles long, this game is for you!
If you like watching all your hard work turn into a 90% unemployment nightmare of homeless standing on the corners, this game is for you.
If you like struggling to connect one pipe/wire/connection to another because it's so difficult to see it underground through the shadows of everything on the surface and you just can't tell if your making a connection until you click... and wait, then this game is for you.
If you like wondering why a train or bus is just sitting there for hours, this game is for you.
If you like watching cars get off the highway, make a couple turns then a u-turn and block traffic for blocks just to get right back on the highway headed in the same direction as before, this game is for you.
If you desire packs of uncontrolled dogs riding your subway and busses, this game is your dream.
If you dream about pedestrians crossing eight-lane highways and blocking the traffic, and blocking traffic at every intersection backing it up there too, this game is for you.
