With the game in the state it's in and the new Economy 2.0 patch, you think they'd be smart enough to not insult our intelligence with only 10% off. With the amount of DLC we'll see in the future $50 is just a giant slap in the face. I'm dumping CS2 from my wishlist with every other Paradox game. Predatory aholes.

Did a quick Google search, I see a lot of keys for sale for the standard edition for around $25. Still probably not worth it at this point.

now that is top tier comedy, 10% off for this pile of crap. Nice that key sellers have it for around 20, not sure it is even worth that

Absolute joke. Everyone knows they get the bulk of their money from DLC- as old as this game is, and all the problems they've had... only 10%... guess I'll play something else.

Are any of them from solid, legit sellers of Steam keys? Or are you seeing that price at sketchy gray market resellers?

Who cares if it's sketchy gray market resellers? I've never had an issue with keys from them

This is probably smart. I've stopped buying anything from PDX because they're not even releasing good DLC's anymore, they've jacked up the price of DLC's across all their games (even the almost 10 year old Hoi4) while giving worse quality for them. They still haven't fixed Vicky 3. Their DLC's aren't addressing what anyone wants in that or CK3. At this point I'm pretty much done with PDX. They've gone the way of Blizzard, EA, and Ubisoft for me. Not one more dime for these greedy corporations. I'm only here on these forums right now because I was trying to get a feel for what people think of CS2 and yeah, not worth it.

Yeah i had a chance to play this game I enjoyed CS1 but not a hope in hell am I paying for CS2 they have got a lot of work todo before I will consider paying more than £10 for this workshop support being a key thing we want

so, the last sale was also only 10% off and now here's the big summer sale and again it's ONLY 10% off now.

I didn't buy it then and I won't now until it comes down to a reasonable sale price, after all they'll make a ton of money on the DLC's that they'll inevitably put out for this one too and in the state it's currently in and how it was released is little more than a slap on the butt to all of CO's and PDX's customer base.

Many thought for certain they'd have a decent sale price at summer. Personally I'm don waiting, they can throw a 50% + sale at winter but I'm done with this type of putting out games in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ state then tell the players to wait for an update mentality on PDX's and CO's part.

Something I've avoided always is buying from 3rd parties but I may give it a go if there is a good enough sale price and I don't have to do too much leg work to investigate the selling sites.

I have a couple times (and I've not used them often). Both times I did eventually get my money back but I had to jump through lots of hoops to do so.

I've not given up on key resellers forever, but has to be an *extra* special deal for me to bite now.

I didn't expect anything less from them tbh. Clearly they want to have their cake and eat it too - charging full price for a woefully unfinished game on release, and then all this time later only offering a stingy discount because it's essentially still in development phase. Don't expect any significant discounts on the base game until they start churning out all those overpriced DLCs - gotta milk those "valued" customers for all they're worth $$$

I actually got a key for far cry six off Amazon for like $38 for the ultimate addition as opposed to the full hundred and something dollar price. I did not see a key for cities skylines 2 From Amazon yet though.

You might not see keys on Amazon.... they have a policy against fraud, and selling this as a game is almost clear-cut fraud.
LOL
They could try a different tack...
"Keep your mother-in-law occupied and out of your hair for a few hours a day for only $50! It might even drive her insane and you can have her committed!"
That might sell it.
