same!! So there is common problem ((
but now i got the game back with all the other mods i used to play before trying some assets mods ...just DON'T subscribe to assets mods or make a backup save in the steam menu
I think i will quit CS2 for a while at least....
CO, Please Fix Your Game.
All the settings are saved in:
--> C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II
To reset all your game settings delete all contains in this folder. It will be recreated once you start the game.
**BUT BE CAREFULL**
As a precaution I strongly advice you to BACK UP every thing you delete beforehand. Better be safe than sorry! ;)
If you have put some work into optimizing your settings (maybe graphics to increase performace or keybinds) make a screenshot or whatever so you can recreate them afterwards.
Thank you so much, IT WORKS!
I am unable to find this folder? I go to \UserName\ and then after that I cant find the route to finding the folder?
That should not be that case as the information what mods you have installed and the mods themselves are stored in the folder I mentionend. In: [...]\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II\.cache\Mods\ you will find a folder named 'mods_subscribed' where every mod you subscrived has its own folder. In playsets_metadata you find a setting file for each playset. If you now delete all this you should not be subsribed to any mod anymore.
Savegames are located in: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II\Saves\<YOUR_PERSONAL_ID>
I would recommend to make a back up copy of the whole \LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II -folder with ALL its contains. After you saved everything separately. delete it. Run the game once to have the game recreate the necessary files in this folder and check if the game runs as you expect it to. If everything seems alright, copy the contains from the BACK UP SAVEGAME folder to [...]\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II\Saves\<YOUR_PERSONAL_ID>
On standard settins Windows will hide this folders. But you can change this easily.
Instruction for Win 11:
*I run the german version of Windows and I will do my best to translate german expressions to what I think it would read like in english*
-> Start your File Explorer
-> in the upper part of it right next to 'Filter' you see 3 little dots, click on those
-> go to Options
-> click View
-> In the little sub window below scroll down. Under "Hidden files and folders" you find two options to activate, You activate 'Show hidden files, folders and drives'.
-> Close this option menue
Go back to C:\Users\<USERNAME> and you will find the 'Appdata' folder visible. It is displayed in pale colors, but that shouldn't bother you. Doubleclick to open and proceed like you normaly would. ;)
