This mod has been banned
So i am working with a city of 1.3 million pop that since the latest update has seen a huge deathwave and is now hovering above 1 million, barely. Whatever i do, i cannot get it to grow. Land value mod on, off, does nothing. So i was browsing through the active list, and now i see this message with the Find Stuff mod:

This mod has been banned due to violations of our Terms and Conditions.
(this also includes the picker)

Also banned:
Realistic Density

They are both currently active in the active playset. Do they work right now? Can i unsub and sub again? I am getting a little bit tired (honestly, getting beat down, tired to the bone) with this hot mess here. What is happening? Anyone has an answer? What happened with these mods?

Not banned, removed by the authors. The message is misleading, skyve shows the right info.

The authors of extended tooltip, find stuff and some more have removed their mods. Some are reuploaded by new maintainer.

Ok... so now I have to double check for angry creators breaking my save game? So far for fame and glory i guess. Thanks for the info. Reading on reddit now how there has been a little disaster on discord, ending up with a few content creators deleting content. You simply do not do this imho, it is disgraceful. I am staggered this is happening. Do not need these shenanigans from childishly acting creators.

If they are still in your library they appear to work. If you want to stop using them but may want them in the future disable them but do not remove them from your library.
aw man what did i miss? i havent actually used discord since like 2019

Wow. Usualy modders are very resilient people that dont get easily frustrated. If they react like this, the situation over there must have been very bad.

No, they're not.
They're regular people displaying the same level of arrogance that everyone else do.
That and most of them don't really test their mod thoroughly, because most chase a "likes" high which happens when you have a well received mod, so you need to be the "first" which tends to create tribalism when other people release similar stuff.

Many forget they started from a humble beginning just wanting to make something to improve the game for themselves.

In any case, it is in poor taste to ruin the experience of the many, because you had a mental breakdown over the few. It's a ♥♥♥♥ move. Don't be a ♥♥♥♥.
- Though modders have a tendency to let the "fame" get to their head and become ♥♥♥♥♥, they also have a tendency to defend a company come what may. It's a tad sad what the modding community across games have become.

They're not the first, another dude took down his mod from Thunderstore, because he didn't like how "toxic" people were back in november towards the Developers.

Modders are just people. They come in all types. Some are players that learned to code to make a mod to do something they want in the game - to ex-programmers who make a mod for fun and could probably re-write the entire game in a weekend and improve it.
From fun folks who aim to please others to dolts who just want that "likes high" no matter what.
That's why mods can range from 'can't play without' to 'utter garbage'. So do the modders.

Most fall in the "likes high" category. The CS2 modding community is extremely arrogant. There are some very nice people there, but a lot of them act as if they're the second coming of jesus - especially the more popular ones.

This is not special for CS2, same for Flightsim communites. When they get angry with someone in the forums then they remove their downloads.

Well this was a surprise to hear.

Modding is supposed to be a hobby project not a full time job. I wonder what CO PDX has offered these modders to throw their toys out of the pram? With all that has happened with CS2 the last thing that players need is broken saves due to childish behaviour. CO PDX has taught them well.

I guess this is the end of the line for me with this game. CS2 is bad enough without modders throwing their hats into the ring by removing mods. I think at this point i am out.

Whilst some authors may have removed their own mods, which incorrectly show as banned, some are being banned as "spam" and requiring disputes to be filed, although the following example has been rectified after appeal, it was banned by Paradox.

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/why-was-my-map-banned-from-pdx-mods.1661757/

Ok, its a map, not a mod as such, but same rules, same platform.
This isn't the only one I've seen, either.

If the forum moderators are moderating the mods over silly things, then things are not gonna go down too well in the not so distant future. They way they ban forum accounts...

Can you link that reddit post, I would love a good giggle.

I know, it's a general problem in the modding community. Happens in a lot of them. I've even seen people been told to shut up in CS modding discord for asking a question related to modding.. I was like.. Maaan.. People come here to get help.. Come on.
