Mail Rate vs Processing rate for mail

Hello. I don't understand the Mail Rate vs Processing rate for mail. I have plenty of post offices and now 2 post sorting facilities. One of the post sorting facilities shows 88500/75000 for sorting speed. The other post sorting one basically has no volume. Should I try moving the other post sorting one next to the other one?

Also the mail rate shows 115k and the processing one shows 99k for the city overall, but not sure what to do about it. Adding more post offices doesn't seem to do anything either.

All the roads and buildings seem to be green for the most part.

I have the same problem with the mail service in both my cities.

It could be if I move my 2nd post sorting next to the other one it might help. I'm not sure.

Processing in the processing facility happens in batches of 25k mail. So before that amount is available from local post offices, the sorting facility sits idle. Hence the larger mail rate doesn't show up instantly, it means that overall your system is accumulating mail.

What is the solution? I built more post offices and they usually don't send out the maximum amount of trucks.

I got over the problems by plopping the needed services. I needed to apply a lot of mailboxes and also address the processing info in the fly-out in this screenshot.
I eventually got global mail happiness to +8 and zero red buildings even in a much bigger city than this. The mail buildings that you see in this shot always stay red.

I can try more mail boxes. I don't think I had any red. I did add them to the farming areas though which maybe takes a while to correct. I'm wondering if I should move my 2nd post sorting facility next to the one that was maxed out for the processing rate.

Its worth a try, but maybe leave it where is is and build a new one where it is needed. Thats all i did.
